You may be a strong fit if…
- Professionals with foundational or journeyman-level human resources experience in defense, federal, or military personnel systems
- Candidates looking for a federal civil service opportunity with clearly defined grade levels (GS-07 or GS-09) and structured developmental duties
- Applicants possessing strong administrative, analytical, and communication skills who are comfortable navigating automated HR data systems
What should you think carefully about?
- The position is indefinite and temporary, meaning it carries no reemployment rights if a Reduction-In-Force (RIF) occurs
- Resumes are strictly limited to a maximum of two pages and must not be verbatim copies of the announcement text
- Relocation to Camp Murray, Washington, is required unless already local, as duties are performed on-site
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This role suits individuals seeking to build or expand a career in federal human resources management within a military or defense environment. It provides structured experience in classification, staffing, and position management that can support long-term career progression within the federal civil service, while offering a stable government salary and benefits package.
Our take
Applicants with relevant HR or administrative experience who meet the specialized experience or educational requirements and are prepared to submit a concise, compliant two-page resume should seriously consider applying before the November 2026 deadline. Candidates seeking permanent guaranteed tenure from day one may find the indefinite nature of the appointment less suitable.
