Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Professionals with a background in macro-financial surveillance or market analysis who are looking to transition into a high-impact international policy environment.
  • Candidates with strong technical skills in econometric software (Python, R, Stata) who enjoy building data-driven tools for market monitoring.
  • Individuals who thrive in small, autonomous team settings and possess the ability to produce high-quality, concise analysis under tight deadlines.

What should you think carefully about?

  • This is a fixed-term 3-year appointment, which may not be suitable for those seeking permanent, long-term tenure at the outset.
  • The role requires a physical presence in the London office, so applicants must be prepared to work on-site in the United Kingdom.
  • The position involves significant responsibility for daily and weekly reporting, which may entail a high-pressure work environment.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This role is an excellent opportunity for mid-career financial experts to gain high-level experience at a premier international financial institution. It is particularly well-suited for those looking to deepen their expertise in global financial stability, expand their professional network in the EMEA region, and contribute to influential reports like the Global Financial Stability Report.

Our take

Experienced financial analysts with a strong grasp of market surveillance and a desire to work in a fast-paced, international policy setting should apply. It is less suitable for those who prefer purely academic research roles or who are not prepared for the specific demands of a 3-year term contract in London.
