About the opportunity
The Education for Laser-based Manufacturing (ELbM) project is funded by the Intra-Africa Mobility Scheme of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission. The project capacitates partner institutions in teaching and research programmes related to Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering to develop the necessary expertise for economic development. It supports the establishment of new laser-based manufacturing programmes and enhances existing ones to harmonize curricula across Africa and align them with industry needs. The programme offers training opportunities for partner academic staff and postgraduate supervision in laser-based manufacturing, broadening educational offerings in Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Biomaterials/Biomedical Engineering. ELbM is jointly implemented by four African partner institutions, engaging selected students and staff in postgraduate studies, research, teaching, or training.
