About the opportunity
The world faces severe challenges to peace and security, with violent conflict and related victims doubling over the last decade. Climate change and polarization further threaten stability, demanding a fundamental rethink of peacebuilding. COST Action CA23129, titled Peace Research Community Europe (PEACE), unites a trans-European and interdisciplinary research community to expand and strengthen a network of peace and conflict research centres and researchers across Europe. The action aims to improve our understanding of current challenges to peace and security on the European continent and beyond, inspiring new research, policy, and practice. Working groups focus on Peace & Climate, Feminist Peace, Peace & Emerging Technologies, Local Peace, and a new Peace and Security Architecture in Europe. Additionally, the network actively supports a new generation of peace and conflict researchers in developing their careers.
