About the opportunity
CorpsAfrica is a pan-African organization that empowers young African leaders to drive sustainable change within their own nations. Founded in 2011, the program recruits university-educated youth to live and work in rural, underserved communities for one year. Volunteers immerse themselves in local life, working alongside community members to identify and implement small-scale, high-impact projects that address local priorities in sectors such as health, education, agriculture, and economic development. By utilizing human-centered design and asset-based community development, CorpsAfrica fosters a bottom-up approach that strengthens local leadership, builds community self-sufficiency, and provides Volunteers with transformative professional and personal growth experiences.
