Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • An ideal opportunity for senior social policy experts and economists with extensive background in poverty reduction and social protection systems in Colombia.
  • Well-suited for professionals experienced in high-level public planning, national development plans, and institutional stakeholder coordination.
  • Provides a direct platform to influence national-level humanitarian and social inclusion policies through the United Nations.

What should you think carefully about?

  • The contract duration is strictly fixed at 3 months, requiring rapid delivery of high-level technical outputs.
  • Travel, housing, and operational expenses are not separately reimbursed and must be managed out of the total lump-sum fee of COP 45,750,000.
  • Applicants must possess robust prior experience and academic credentials matching the senior SSA7 level requirements.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This consultancy fits short-to-medium-term career goals for seasoned development professionals seeking to engage in high-impact public policy advisory roles with international organizations like the United Nations, bridging technical expertise directly with national governance frameworks.

Our take

Experienced consultants with a strong background in Colombian social protection systems and public planning should apply before the October 2026 deadline, while applicants lacking senior-level public policy experience may find this role less suitable.
