Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Nonprofit organizations with proven expertise in youth employment, digital literacy, or AI training programs targeting low-income youth aged 15 to 24.
- NGOs seeking catalytic capital to significantly scale or pilot innovative workforce development models across eligible global communities.
- Organizations capable of managing a substantial $500,000 multi-year grant and meeting rigorous institutional financial audit requirements.
What should you think carefully about?
- The application window for the Letter of Inquiry is strict and requires precise preparation without an online save feature.
- Selected organizations must successfully navigate a competitive two-round process involving both an LOI and a full application phase.
- Grant funds are restricted and subject to rigorous compliance standards, prohibiting lobbying and political activities.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This challenge fits well for established nonprofit leaders looking to secure major funding to integrate AI and digital skill-building into their existing youth employability frameworks or launch new community-level access initiatives.
Our take
Nonprofit leaders with mature programs impacting youth economic mobility in Citi's target geographies should seriously consider applying, provided they meet the strict local nonprofit and financial audit prerequisites.
