Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Young leaders aged 18-30 who have already launched a social venture or grassroots initiative.
- Individuals seeking global mentorship and connection to a network of Nobel Peace Prize laureates.
- Activists focused on peace, justice, equity, or social change who need funding to scale their impact.
What should you think carefully about?
- The project must be beyond the initial idea phase but not yet fully scaled to be competitive.
- Requires a significant time commitment for yearlong mentorship and virtual skill-building sessions.
- The $5,000 funding is project-specific and should be evaluated against the scale of your current initiative.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This fellowship provides a structured environment to refine your leadership competencies and expand your project's reach. It is a perfect fit if you are looking to move from a local initiative to a more globally informed strategy, leveraging the PeaceJam curriculum to enhance your capacity as a changemaker.
Our take
Highly recommended for young, dedicated project leaders ready to commit to a year of intensive growth and global networking. It is less suitable for those without an active, ongoing initiative or those seeking purely academic research support.
