  • The contract duration is strictly 12 months under a Service Contract (SC-5) framework.

  • Candidates must successfully undergo rigorous reference and background checks as part of the recruitment process.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This 12-month Service Contract offers an ideal environment for supply chain and logistics professionals aiming to apply their data analysis, KPI evaluation, and inventory management skills directly to humanitarian assistance projects. It supports career growth by offering professional development opportunities through training, coaching, and mentorship, while also exposing the incumbent to WFP's global network and potential internal mobility pathways.

Our take

Logistics practitioners with at least five years of relevant experience, bilingual capabilities in Spanish and intermediate English, and the ability to work on-site in Quito for a year should seriously consider this opportunity. Applicants without a tertiary degree in a relevant field or those seeking long-term permanent staff positions rather than a 12-month service contract may find it less appropriate.
