What should you think carefully about?
- The financial support consists of a $10,000 stipend distributed quarterly, which may require supplementing depending on your primary income needs
- The position is part-time over a year, requiring careful balance with other professional commitments
- Applicants must submit a detailed two-page cover letter and two professional references by the September 2026 deadline

How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This fellowship fits well into the goals of professionals wanting to build a significant independent body of work and establish an international network of sources without leaving their current location or interrupting their main career path.
Our take
Mid-career writers and policy experts focused on tech and democracy should seriously consider applying, whereas those seeking full-time employment or larger institutional funding may find it less suitable.
