Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Current graduate students with a strong academic or professional background intersecting finance and sustainability.
- Self-starters who thrive in fast-paced corporate environments and enjoy managing multiple stakeholder projects.
- Applicants eager to network with senior leaders and practitioners in sustainable investing and global capital markets.
What should you think carefully about?
- The fellowship requires full-time, in-person attendance in New York City for the entire 10-week duration.
- The program explicitly does not guarantee or include a return offer for full-time employment upon completion.
- Applicants must commit time to craft a targeted 300-word essay alongside submitting a resume.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This fellowship serves as an intensive high-level credential and networking platform for graduate students looking to bridge mainstream finance with environmental and social impact. It is ideal for building direct industry experience and connections within sustainable capital markets without assuming a permanent post-graduation placement.
Our take
Graduate students deeply interested in sustainable finance who can commit to a summer in New York City should seriously consider applying. Those seeking an immediate guaranteed full-time job offer upon completion may find the lack of a return offer less suitable.
