Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- You have a completed or nearly completed PhD in molecular biology or biomedicine with dedicated research experience in mouse models and adipose tissue biology.
- You hold a valid FELASA B animal experimentation certification and practical wet-lab expertise in metabolism or microvascular biology.
- You want a structured two-year postdoctoral experience that emphasizes skill development, international collaboration, and access to core technological facilities.
What should you think carefully about?
- The position is fixed-term for two years, meaning you will need to plan for subsequent career steps ahead of its conclusion.
- Relocation to Odense, Denmark, is required for this on-site academic position.
- Strict adherence to the application deadline of October 27, 2026, is enforced, and incomplete applications are automatically excluded.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This postdoctoral appointment is ideal for early-career scientists seeking to advance their publishing record, expand technical expertise in single-cell transcriptomics and bioimaging, and build an international network within cardiometabolic research before moving toward independent academic or industry research roles.
Our take
Highly motivated molecular biologists and biomedicine researchers with robust animal model experience and a focus on metabolic health should seriously consider applying. Candidates lacking FELASA B certification or direct adipose tissue handling experience will find this position less suitable.
