About the opportunity
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Representation in Tanzania is inviting applications for an International Consultant to conduct a comprehensive Country Programme Framework (CPF) Review. Tanzania’s current CPF (2022-2027/8) aligns with the country’s Vision 2025, the Five-Year Development Plan, Zanzibar’s development strategy, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Corporation Framework (UNSDCF). Following the operationalization of Tanzania’s Vision 2050, the UN system extended the UNSDCF to 2028, and FAO’s CPF was similarly extended. The review aims to assess the achievements of current CPF outcomes across People, Prosperity, and Planet, compare targets against delivery, and design a forward-looking plan with priorities and recommendations for the next CPF. The consultant will operate under the overall guidance of the FAO Representative, direct supervision of the Assistant FAOR (Programme), and technical supervision of the Lead Technical Officer.
