Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Ideal for master's students seeking to bridge academic research with practical communication and event management skills
  • Strong fit for students with a background in disaster studies, global health, or social sciences who are comfortable with digital design tools
  • Excellent opportunity for those looking to gain professional experience within a top-ranking international research institution

What should you think carefully about?

  • Requires active enrollment in a master's program, which must be documented
  • The role is fixed-term for two years, making it a temporary commitment rather than a long-term career position
  • Applicants should be prepared to work 10-12 hours per week in Copenhagen, which may require local residence or commuting

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This position is well-suited for a student aiming to build a professional portfolio in academic communication and research support. It offers a structured way to gain experience in a prestigious university setting while continuing master's studies, providing both a financial stipend and valuable networking opportunities within the disaster research community.

Our take

Master's students with a passion for disaster research and strong communication skills should consider this role. It is less suitable for those who cannot commit to a two-year period or who are not currently enrolled in a relevant master's program.
