About the opportunity
The Jasiri Growth Accelerator is a growth and investment-readiness intervention backing proven ventures in Kenya and Rwanda that solve problems and deliver valuable goods and services to unserved or underserved markets. Each participating venture receives up to USD 75,000 allocated across direct funding and indirect funding for technical expertise, paired with a 12-month acceleration program. The intervention is structured around milestone-led venture building, financial analysis, targeted expert advisory, investment readiness, and capability building. Capital is provided through a Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE). The program is sector-agnostic and delivered primarily virtually, working with founders at their current location.

Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Post-revenue startup founders in Kenya or Rwanda with at least two years of consistent growth who need both capital and structured scaling support.
- Teams seeking non-dilutive expertise and investor readiness training rather than a standard cash-only grant.
- Founders aiming at unserved or underserved markets who want hands-on operational guidance and dedicated venture building.
What should you think carefully about?
- The financial instrument used is a SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity), meaning you are trading future equity rather than receiving a non-repayable grant.
- The application window is exceptionally short, requiring all company materials and governance records to be prepared rapidly.
- The selection process is rigorous and multi-stage, involving multiple pitches, reviews, and a comprehensive due diligence process.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This accelerator is a strong fit if your immediate goal is to transition your early-stage venture toward seed-stage investor readiness, scale your operational capacity, and gain access to regional networks. It provides both the financial runway and the technical expertise necessary to reach formal investment milestones.
Our take
Established, post-revenue founding teams in Kenya or Rwanda addressing underserved markets should seriously consider applying before the October 8 deadline. It is less suitable for pre-revenue startups or solo founders who do not meet the multi-founder requirement.
