About the opportunity

The Metals and Minerals (M&M) Department of the WBG is responsible for implementing the WBG’s M&M Global Strategy, unlocking the economic transformation potential in mineral-resource-rich countries. The selected Senior Mining Specialist will be based in the World Bank’s country office in Conakry, Guinea, contributing to the design and implementation of operations and knowledge activities in the metals and minerals sector primarily in Guinea, with a growing geographic focus on West Africa including Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and Liberia. The role involves leading high-level dialogues, managing project components, supervising lending operations, and collaborating across sectors to deliver sustainable economic development.
